Location: Google office - Warsaw, Kraków

In this role, you won’t just write code; you’ll tackle foundational computing challenges. From GKE Networking and Distributed Computing to AI/ML and Information Retrieval, our Polish teams are at the heart of the services that billions of people rely on every day.

Your Impact
  • Architect & Build: Develop robust, high-performance product and system code for massive-scale infrastructure.
  • Maintain Excellence: Drive code quality through rigorous reviews and champion best practices.
  • Solve & Innovate: Troubleshoot complex system bottlenecks and lead design reviews for next-generation technologies.
  • Collaborate: Work alongside global stakeholders to evolve Google’s technical boundaries.

About You

You are a versatile engineer with a "systems-first" mindset. You enjoy peeling back the layers of a problem to understand how things work at the root level.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: BS degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • CS Fundamentals: Strong grasp of data structures, algorithms, and software design.
  • Coding Proficiency: 1–2 years of experience in Python, C, C++, Java, or JavaScript.
  • Communication: Fluent in English.

Advanced Technical Expertise

We are seeking candidates with deep proficiency in at least one of the following:

  • System Languages: Expert-level C++ or Go.
  • Core Systems: Deep Unix/Linux knowledge, computer architecture, or OS internals.
  • Scale: Distributed/parallel systems, large-scale storage, or advanced networking.
  • Specialized Domains: Security, AI/ML, or Information Retrieval.
